Lockdown knife

The lockdown knife was born out of surfing a lot of barreling reef breaks at home during our lockdown periods as it was pumping at home on the central coast.

It is a board to ride at your normal high-performance length but handles waves with power like it’s 4 inches longer. Older surfers have been enjoying the LDK a bit longer with high volume for the paddle power and stability and riding them as an all-rounder.

The wide point is forward and holds volume up front for paddle power with a thinned-out step-up style tail, pulling in width-wise. Vee bottom nose to tail and double barrel concave running through the middle of the board and through leading fins. Light vee out the exit and also at the entry. It works great as quad or tri fin depending on your preferences. definite tube pig and loves a big open face too carve through .

Instead of taking your 6.6 on a surf trip, I’d say you could just take a 6.0 LDK and if you snap your short boards the LDK will still be a shortie backup.

Mine (75kg) is 5.10 1/2 by 19 by 2 5/16 27.5 litres. All boards are custom-made to suit each individual.
