og Spoon/royal spoon/step-up royal spoon

The OG Spoon is primarily a twin fin, quad option for extra hold and stability. Super fun on weak, small days, picking up speed with its flat rocker and rolling of its large rolled vee out the tail, letting it turn and carve.

Double concave into rolled vee out the tail with slightly chined rails mid-way and up into a domed nose vee. Comes with a diamond tail or a soft Bat tail. The bat tail loosens up the turning circle. I also make a pointed-nose version called the Royal Spoon. Made with more nose-rocker and stiffer fins for short sectional waves like we have here on the Central Coast of NSW. This board has a round-tail option, stretched out longer as a semi-step-up from my 5’6.

Made from EPS/epoxy so super light, adding to manoeuvrability. The spooned-out deck brings the surfer closer to the bottom of the board and removes volume. Also, it creates a stiff deck contour along the rail to stiffen up the flex you get in epoxy laminations. George Greenough inspired for sure, came to mind when I rode an old kneeboard single fin with this massive raked-out fin the size of your forearm down at Long Reef and had a ball on it.

A flat-deck PU option is available. Can also have a single fin box option with a quad box set up so you can run a single, twin or quad.

2022-2023 I have done RND on adding a Twinzer set up to the Spoons twin set up which apt with is bonzer concave out the exit and definitely found a 6th gear with out loosing turnablity which is so exciting as I already loved riding spoons in many different sizes since 2009 . the twinzer addition is an fcs 1 plug in front of Twin fins and a small canard fin which is a 150 dollar extra but well worth the addition . this can be added at anytime so if you already have a spoon hit me up !

I (75kg) ride my Spoon at 5’6. I ride my RT step up Royal Spoon at 5’9. All boards are custom-made to suit each individual.
